Wow! What friends we have in Brenckle’s Organic Farm and Greenhouse! Owner Tom Brenckle – a fourth generation farmer – helps us every year by plowing and tilling the soil in our large garden, turning in composted manure from a local horse farm.
Brenckle’s has been serving Cranberry and New Sewickley Townships, as well as the entire Beaver Valley since 1949. It’s a family farm focused on a commitment to the local community. We are next-door neighbors and enjoy the close relationship with our organic friends who’ve been farming land adjacent to ours for three generations. The farm has been certified organic for more than ten years and the Brenckles are committed to responsibly managing their land with sustainable practices.
They launched their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program in 2009, delivering fresh produce directly to consumers from June through November. Brenckle’s also sells at various farmers markets and grocery stores, as well as at their farm retail stand. Their greenhouses are a great source for bedding plants, and most Saturdays during growing season, Brenckle’s booth is a popular stop at the Sewickley Farmers Market.
