Every autumn we have a big cleanup day to prepare the garden for over-wintering. All fences, trellises, tomato cages, landscape fabric, etc. is cleared off the land. Some plant detritus is removed to the compost bins and tomato plants are removed from the garden altogether (because they reseed too much!). And final harvests are done such as digging for sweet potatoes.

This cleanup ensures that the garden will be ready for plowing next spring!
